Carolyn Baker Ringel

Carolyn Baker Ringel has spent her career helping families successfully resolve difficult situations. Based on her training in mediation, law, and health, and guided by her own experience supporting family members to achieve positive outcomes with education, mental health, and gender dysphoria, she has mentored many others along the same journey.
As a family lawyer for a domestic violence non-profit agency, she helped her clients resolve many high-conflict, emotional situations. As an elected member of her town’s School Committee, she helped guide the educational plan for the acclaimed Dover-Sherborn school system. As a former Legal Counsel for a Massachusetts State Senator and Counsel to the Senate Oversight Committee, she successfully negotiated the passage of several high-profile pieces of legislation to improve the lives of the citizens of the Commonwealth. As a current member of the Continuing Review IRB for Beth Israel Deaconess, she helps ensure patient interests are met in the most ethical ways.
Carolyn holds an AB from Princeton University, a JD from The University of Chicago Law School, and a Master in Bioethics candidate at Harvard Medical School. She has lived in the United States, England, and Singapore, and has traveled extensively around the world. She enjoys writing and cooking and has been published in legal, cooking, and parenting publications.
